Trois grandes soirées dominent les débats de ces quatre jours de jazz bien relevés, orchestrés par le violoniste Didier Riey, programmateur de la manifestation. C’est à l’Américaine Stacey Kent, anglaise d’adoption et francophile passionnée, que revient le privilège d’ouvrir les festivités… Dépositaire d’un brio vocal et d’un art du swing rarement égalés, tout droit hérités des géantes Sarah Vaughan et Ella Fitzgerald, Stacey Kent est aussi une show-woman redoutable ! (le 22 avec en première partie la jeune violoniste de jazz Fiona Monbet, révélée par Didier Lockwood et gratifiée du label « Talent Jazz 2010 du Fonds SACEM »). Autres temps forts : le pianiste et compositeur André Manoukian et son jazz chaloupé et nostalgique aux parfums arméniens (le 23, avec les lauréats de la classe de Jazz du Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Saint-Maur dirigés par Georges Beckerich en 1ère partie) et enfin la pétillante chanteuse brésilienne Manu Leprince, ex-complice de Bernard Lavilliers, précédée par le guitariste Jimi Drouillard pour une carte blanche entre blues et funk (le 25). Une programmation Off de plus de dix concerts se déploie aussi dans les bars et restaurants de la ville, sous l’impulsion de l’association saint-maurienne L’Happy Jazz.
