On ne sait pas s’il apprécierait d’être qualifié de « monument », lui qui a toujours envisagé sa pratique dans le mouvement des rencontres et de la vie, mais s’il est un musicien qui, dans le paysage hexagonal, s’impose par la constance de sa démarche et l’originalité de son univers, c’est bien Henri Texier. Lors de cette soirée spéciale à la Seine Musicale, le contrebassiste se présente accompagné par son trio Natural Feelings, formé avec Gautier Garrigue à la batterie et son fils Sébastien Texier aux clarinettes et saxophone alto, et par deux invités de choix, le trompettiste Paolo Fresu et le clarinettiste Michel Portal. Avec ces libres penseurs du jazz européen, Texier a déjà fait la route à plusieurs reprises, au fil des années, imaginant des espaces lyriques dans lesquels s’engouffre l’inspiration de ses partenaires improvisateurs. On ne doute pas que sur scène, ces retrouvailles entre vieux amis soient riches en émotions, musicales avant tout !
