Depuis plus de dix ans, cet ancien bateau reconverti en salle de concerts fait le bonheur des amateurs de musiques électroniques, des plus exigeants aux plus fêtards. Alors qu’il vient de connaître quelques travaux de jouvence, le Batofar lance un nouveau rendez-vous inédit dans la Capitale : des Jazz Sessions laissant la part belle aux mélanges entre jazz et electro. Idéal pour ceux qui aiment vivre les concerts debout un verre à la main dans l’atmosphère « underground » d’un lieu singulier, d’autant que les premiers musiciens invités ne sont pas du genre apaisé. Bien au contraire, quand Kiala (ex-compère de Fela et pionnier de l’afro-beat) invite l’un des trompettistes les plus groovy de l’Hexagone (Stéphane Belmondo), le thermomètre risque de faire quelques pointes. Trois semaines plus tard, ce sera à l’un des jazzmen les plus piqués d’électronique, le pianiste Laurent De Wilde de présenter sa nouvelle formation très attendue, l’Electronic Trio. Auparavant, les mélomanes curieux feraient bien de jeter une oreille très attentive à un jeune saxophoniste captivant, Gael Horrelou pour un solo alléchant accompagné de machines… Un nouveau rendez-vous électro-jazz qui commence donc sous les meilleurs auspices.
