La Maison de Radio-France met à l’affiche le 6 février un double plateau éclairant deux projets rares et précieux du jazz français : le batteur Thomas Grimmonprez, entendu souvent au sein de grandes formations (Solal, Caratini, Cugny) reprend la main en tant que leader aux commandes de ce trio intimiste qui signait en 2009 l’album « Bleu » sur le label Zig Zag territoires. Une musique mélodique aux délicates et fluides nuances nocturnes servies par Christophe Hache à la contrebasse et Jérémie Ternoy au piano électrique. En deuxième partie de concert, le guitariste danois Hasse Poulsen en appelle aux « Progressive Patriots », groupe de jazz d’un musicien transversal et singulier, créé pour célébrer le dixième anniversaire de son arrivée en France et réagir au passage à la création du sinistre « Ministère de l’immigration, de l’intégration et de l’identité nationale », avec Tom Rainey (batterie), Henrik Simonsen (contrebasse), Guillaume Orti (sax) et Stéphane Payen (sax). « On utilise cette notion d’identité nationale pour trier les uns des autres et virer les indésirables. Nous avons besoin de redéfinir nos nations. Et moi ma Nation s’appelle le Jazz et tous les citoyens du Jazz sont mes confrères, et je souhaite la bienvenue à tout le monde en ce pays de traditions, de créations et de délires. Nous sommes les patriotes progressifs ! »
déclare le Danois de Paris. Deux semaines plus tard, même heure, même endroit, la pianiste, compositrice et arrangeuse surdouée Carine Bonnefoy, réunit son « New Large Ensemble », grand format de seize musiciens triés sur le volet offrant à sa plume une exceptionnelle palette sonore (le 20).
