CRÉATION MONDIALE / VITRY ET PARIS
La création d’une œuvre lyrique est toujours pour l’ensemble 2e2m l’occasion de s’interroger sur la place que doivent y occuper les musiciens. Avec Sébastien Gaxie, la réflexion promet d’être intense et radicale. Le compositeur (né en 1977), compagnon de route de Pierre Roullier et de ses musiciens, est parti d’une nouvelle fantastique de Dostoïevski pour créer un opéra en trois temps, trois états entre vie et rêve qui appellent autant de modalités d’intervention de la part de l’orchestre : d’abord dissimulé, jouant un rôle « atmosphérique », il devient par le suite le moteur de la narration puis le porteur d’une voix déclamée, scandée. Sébastien Gaxie et Volodia Serre, son librettiste et metteur en scène, ont confié le rôle de cet « homme ridicule », qui va porter la corruption au sein d’un paradis originel au-delà des mondes, à un acteur (Lionel Gonzalez) et un chanteur (l’excellent Lionel Peintre), dont les personnalités vont peu à peu se confondre. Six chanteurs de l’ensemble Musicatreize complètent la distribution.
