On ne sait jamais vraiment s’il faut se réjouir que le nom d’Offenbach soit devenu synonyme de « fête » ou s’il faut au contraire regretter que l’on ne joue ce magnifique compositeur français, victime de tant de préjugés, presque uniquement en période des fêtes de fin d’année… Parmi ceux qui luttent avec le plus de passion et de talent pour donner une juste et nouvelle place à celui que l’on surnommait en son temps « le Mozart des Champs-Elysées », le français Jean-Christophe Keck, invité régulier, à Paris, de l’Orchestre Pasdeloup. Spécialiste du compositeur, il a en particulier la responsabilité depuis quinze ans de l’édition critique de ses œuvres, chez l’éditeur anglais Boosey & Hawkes, ouvrant ainsi de nouvelles perspectives à des partitions souvent malmenées par moult rééditions ou réorchestrations, voire déformations, successives. Jean-Christophe Keck choisit ici de partager son programme entre airs chantés et pages orchestrales issues d’ouvrages lyriques, célèbres souvent, à découvrir d’autres fois : La Vie parisienne, Les Brigands, Bagatelle, Le Financier et le savetier, Les Contes d’Hoffmann et Monsieur Choufleuri. En soliste, les chanteurs Isabelle Philippe et Florian Laconi se partagent l’affiche. Bonheur garanti.
