Le grand Jacques Brel lança un jour, en plein enregistrement, à Marcel Azzolla, la formule restée célèbre « Chauffe Marcel ! »… Mais que l’on ne s’y trompe pas, son accordéoniste de toujours fut bien Jean Corti avec lequel il collabora de 1960 à 1966 et qui composa pour lui la musique de chansons aussi importantes que Madeleine, Les Vieux ou Les Bourgeois. Aujourd’hui, Corti est de retour, collaborant avec les Rita Mitsouko, fréquentant les Têtes Raides, et surtout signant il y a peu l’album « Versatile ». Après un première secousse en 2001 avec l’album “Couka” (déjà paru sur le label « Mon Slip », et vendu à 20 000 exemplaires en France, Corti revient avec son jazz mélodique et mélancolique, swinguant sur ses propres compositions et quelques « classiques » de la chanson française, de la musique de cinéma ou du répertoire de baloche. Auprès de lui, plusieurs excellents musiciens à l’image du contrebassiste Jean Philippe Viret ou du guitariste Jean Marie Ecay. Seul en scène, hors les murs, du 7 au 10 février dans la région de Sénart, Jean Corti sera l’hôte, le 12 sur la scène de La Rotonde, de son benjamin Daniel Mille en quintet. Un passage de témoin touchant entre deux générations d’accordéonistes.
