Être à la fois pianiste et chef d’orchestre permet à Jean-François Heisser de porter sur les œuvres un éclairage différent. C’est le cas en particulier pour Beethoven, dont il a interprété les sonates (dont les trois dernières, enregistrées pour Naïve), les concertos (on se souvient de son intégrale aux côtés de Louis Langrée) et, devenu chef d’orchestre, les symphonies. C’est précisément sur la très concertante Quatrième Symphonie que se penchent Jean-François Heisser et l’Orchestre national d’Ile-de-France, précédée de l’ouverture des Créatures de Prométhée, puis du Vingt-troisième Concerto de Mozart, dirigé du piano. Une leçon de style classique qui se prolongera le 12 avril avec les solistes de l’orchestre autour du Quintette pour piano et vents op. 16 de Beethoven.
