De Jacques Lanzmann à Pierre Philippe (sa plume fétiche) en passant par Jacques Prévert, Allain Leprest, Jean Rouaud ou Marie Nimier (on en oublie !), Jean Guidoni a posé sa voix sensible et son art si fiévreux et fragile de l’interprétation sur les textes des meilleurs auteurs. Il revient aujourd’hui avec de nouvelles chansons toutes de sa main : « 10 ans déjà que je n’avais pas repris la plume. Écrire pour soi, un exercice qui me manquait peut-être, qui me manquait sûrement. « Écrire » parce qu’il y a des moments, des instants où cela semble évident de vouloir se balader dans de nouveaux décors à la rencontre de nouveaux mots, de notes différentes. Écrire un nouvel album, j’en avais envie depuis longtemps, mais je n’osais pas encore coucher sur le papier les drôles d’idées qui me trottaient dans la tête… » explique-t-il. Trois mois après la sortie de son nouvel album « légendes urbaines » et trois mois avant son grand retour sur une scène parisienne (celle de la Cigale, le 20 novembre), l’oiseau de nuit Guidoni, figure importante de la chanson française (dont l’album Crime passionnel co-signé par Astor Piazzolla et Pierre Philippe paru en 1982 est un pur chef-d’œuvre) surgit à la nuit tombante dans la fournaise et la foule avignonnaise. Inattendu et magnifique.
