D’où est né le projet de reprendre Prévert?
Jean Guidoni : Pour ma plus grande chance, c’est Eugénie Prévert qui a souhaité que nous réenregistrions des textes de son grand-père, au départ pour une exposition à l’Hôtel de Ville de Paris, puis pour un album, et très vite un spectacle monté à l’Européen. A Avignon, nous serons avec Fabrice Ravel-Chapuis en récital piano-voix.

Vous aimez la danse, le travail scénique : cette sobriété sur scène est-elle un choix particulier ?
Je voulais au départ une scénographie forte, des accessoires. Mais j’ai finalement préféré laisser les textes vivre leur vie. Le spectacle est très épuré, tout est installé dans les mots de Prévert : sa poésie a certes des aspects indissociables de la chanson, mais sa prose a une vie propre, un pouvoir très immédiat. Et puis nous serons déjà au coeur d’une énorme institution vouée au théâtre ! C’est d’ailleurs la première fois que je jouerai au Festival d’Avignon, et être programmé dans ce foisonnement de plateaux artistiques a de quoi impressionner !
Quels textes interprèterez-vous’
J’ai choisi des chansons incontournables de Kosma, et des textes qui n’avaient pas été mis en musique, en collaborant avec Ravel-Chapuis, Juliette, et le compositeur contemporain Thierry Escaich. J’avoue avoir volontairement sélectionné des thèmes plutôt noirs dans le contexte social, mais ces textes ne sont jamais lourds grâce à l’humour, à la verve fantaisiste de Prévert.
