Guidoni fréquente les textes de Prévert depuis toujours mais c’est la première fois qu’il lui consacre un album entier. Le chanteur a conçu « Etranges étrangers » (qui vient de sortir chez Edito Musiques) comme un rendez-vous. « Un rendez-vous que je sentais incontournable, un rendez-vous important, longtemps attendu depuis que nous nous sommes croisés au fil de ces années » confie-t-il dans une lette adressée au poète. Jean Guidoni a non seulement puisé dans les textes déjà mis en musique par Joseph Kosma et Wal-Berg mais aussi sollicité trois compositeurs hors pair – le compositeur « classique » Thierry Escaich, Juliette et Fabrice Chapuis-Ravel, qui signe par ailleurs la réalisation de l’album – qui lui offrent six musiques originales. Après deux « premières » magnifiques à l’Européen (en lieu et place du défunt Théâtre en Rond où il fit ses débuts), Guidoni revient sur scène dans les habits de tendresse et de révolte du poète qui lui vont si bien…
