En conclusion de trois années de résidence à l’Onde de Vélizy, Fillon s’offre un long week-end de hautbois en liberté, à travers master-classes, expositions et concerts. « L’idée que je développe est d’ouvrir vers d’autres univers un instrument quelque peu conservateur, cantonné au classique alors que ses origines orientales sont populaires » explique-t-il. En bref, Fillon tente et réussit depuis 15 ans le pari de faire du hautbois un instrument improvisant et swinguant. Temps fort de ce week-end Fillon : la création du projet "Hautbois Nomade" marquant la rencontre, sur sa musique (arrangements réalisés par Carine Bonnefoy et François Théberge), de l’Orchestre National d’Ile de France (direction David Walter) et de son "Oborigins" Quartet composé de João Paulo Da Silva (piano), Jarrod Cagwin (percussions orientales) et Michel Bénita (contrebasse). Un choc des mondes initié par un soliste–compositeur (et un instrument) aptes mieux que quiconque à traverser les frontières… Des œuvres de Copland et Lutoslawski sont au même programme. Autres actualités de Jean-Luc Fillon : la sortie d’un album de son nouveau trio « Oborigins » (chez Cristal/Abeille) et la préparation d’un nouveau projet discographique (attendu en février) en quintet avec le grand bassoniste new-yorkais Michael Rabinowitz, dont la démarche est proche de celle de Fillon.
