Il apparaît désormais bien loin le temps où Jean-Pierre Como tenait les claviers de Sixun, une des formations phares d’un jazz rock à la française. Il y a quelques années, accompagné d’une équipe italo-argentine, il rendait un bel hommage à Ravel et quelques autres plages en version latine, avec ce qu’il faut de rythmes mais non sans de subtiles touches sensuelles. Sept ans plus tard, il a publié My Little Italy, cette fois en association avec le chanteur Walter Ricci, alter ego de ce projet qui réinvestit la tradition vocale de l’autre côté des Alpes. Entre compositions originales et chansons italiennes, il s’agit surtout pour eux de laisser place à l’imagination dans ce recueil tout en suspensions oniriques, magnifiées par la présence de complices au diapason dont une sacrée paire constituée par le batteur André Ceccarelli et le contrebassiste cubain Felipe Cabrera.
