Qu’il soit programmé dans des théâtres, dans des festivals d’arts de la rue ou ailleurs, c’est toujours à l’intérieur d’une palissade circulaire que Thierry Combe joue Jean-Pierre, lui, moi. Après avoir installé les spectateurs sur de petits tabourets, le comédien le dit d’emblée : c’est de handicap qu’il va être question. Plus précisément, de la déficience intellectuelle, du trouble du langage et du pied bot de son frère, Jean-Pierre, qui a marqué son enfance et sa vie d’adulte. Seul en scène, le comédien interprète son propre rôle ainsi que toute une galerie de personnages pour convoquer l’absent. Et lui déclarer son amour.
Tentative de réparation
Dans un désordre qui trahit des sentiments encore à vif, Thierry Combe reconstitue diverses situations vécues, auxquelles il ajoute quelques inventions. L’annonce par le corps médical de la maladie de son frère, sa propre enquête pour découvrir le nom de cette maladie – une « psychose infantile vieillissante », finit-il par apprendre – ou encore divers moments de complicité ou de tension sont offerts en partage au public… Tout cela pour tenter une réparation. Un apaisement. Avec gravité, mais aussi avec humour, Jean-Pierre, Lui, Moi nous invite ainsi à interroger notre rapport au handicap.
