Depuis quinze ans, l’Académie baroque européenne d’Ambronay poursuit un ambitieux travail de formation et d’insertion professionnelle. Cette année, sous la direction de Jean Tubéry, directeur artistique de l’ensemble La Fenice et spécialiste des répertoires italiens du xviie siècle, les jeunes chanteurs et musiciens sélectionnés se retrouvent autour de la musique de Giovanni Gabrieli. Originellement composés pour la basilique Saint-Marc de Venise, ces Trionfi sacri que Jean Tubéry a magnifiquement enregistrés en 2003, mettent en œuvre la technique des « cori spezzati », chœurs dispersés que le chef fait résonner dans différents lieux. Trois jours après Ambronay et avant une tournée passant bien sûr par Venise (le 6 octobre), l’église Saint-Roch est à Paris le lieu désigné pour déployer les splendeurs polyphoniques de Gabrieli.
