Jeanne Added compte parmi les personnalités les plus stimulantes de la scène française actuelle. Parfait prototype du jeune musicien d’aujourd’hui, elle a traversé et expérimenté toutes les musiques ou presque (classique, électro, improvisée, rock, etc) pour mieux faire exister aujourd’hui en solo (où elle s’accompagne à la basse électrique) ou encore comme ici en trio un univers qui lui est propre, où sa voix joue certes les premiers rôles mais jamais au point de laisser la musicienne créatrice se laisser absorber par la chanteuse, aussi subtilement magnétique soit-elle. Dans « Yes is a pleasant country » qui vient de sortir, Jeanne Added chante ses propres compositions, se laisse inspirer par la poésie de E.E. Cummings, ou se glisse dans les pas d’Ellington, Strayhorn et Mingus. Tour à tour avec rage ou grâce, et toujours entourée par les incroyables Bruno Ruder au piano et Vincent Lê Quang au saxophone. Poétique et créatif, et surtout fabuleusement vivant.
