Après ses récents débuts au Festival de Salzbourg et son ouverture de saison parisienne au Centre de musique baroque de Versailles, Jérémie Rhorer retrouve son ensemble Le Cercle de l’harmonie pour une représentation en version de concert de l’opéra comique Lodoïska de Luigi Cherubini (1760-1842). L’ouvrage « révolutionnaire » est présenté à l’occasion du 250ème anniversaire de la naissance du compositeur florentin, musicien longtemps dédaigné que l’on redécouvre aujourd’hui dans le cadre du « festival Luigi Cherubini » initié par le Palazzetto Bru Zane/Centre de musique romantique française de Venise. « Quand nous avons défini l’identité du Cercle de l’harmonie, à savoir celle d’un orchestre classique, il nous a paru tout de suite essentiel d’exhumer un répertoire méconnu et de pérenniser ainsi la démarche des pionniers » nous confiait récemment Jérémie Rhorer. Un tel projet ne pouvait donc qu’être accueilli avec enthousiasme et défendu avec pertinence par le jeune chef français qui sera aussi à l’affiche, avec le même programme, le 13 octobre à La Fenice de Venise puis le 15 à l’Accademia Santa Cecilia de Rome. Du côté des voix, le projet bénéficie de la participation d’un superbe « trio de tête » composé de Nathalie Manfrino (Lodoïska), Hjördis Thébault (Lysinska) et Sébastien Guèze (Florerski).
