Opéra de Paris Palais Garnier / Bel / Millepied / Robbins
Tombe de Jérôme Bel ouvre le bal. Cet agitateur chorégraphique, qui a introduit dans la danse une dimension perceptuelle et déceptive à l’origine de ce que l’on a appelé « non-danse », a su questionner ce qui meut les danseurs et nous émeut. Après Véronique Doisneau, créé en 2004 pour l’Opéra de Paris, il revient avec cette création mêlant danseurs et non-danseurs, invitant chacun à une réflexion sur son travail, son identité, sa place dans la compagnie et dans la société. Dans La Nuit s’achève, Benjamin Millepied s’empare des harmonies sombres de la sonate Appassionnata de Beethoven, interprétée par l’immense pianiste Alain Planès, pour concevoir un triple duo aussi virtuose que peut l’être la partition musicale. Enfin, Les Variations Goldberg de Jerome Robbins, sont le summum de l’écriture contrapuntique inventée par Bach. Esthétique minimaliste et harmonieuse, lignes pures et dépouillées, caractérisent cette chorégraphie classique d’une grande modernité.
