Après des années d’absence, un jeune homme est de retour chez lui, dans la maison qui l’a vu grandir. Cinq femmes, qui ont passé tout ce temps à l’attendre, interrogent les raisons de ce départ et de ce retour. « Cette pièce est un laboratoire, fait remarquer Nicolas Grosrichard, il nous faut expérimenter en direct l’extrême ratage, le gâchis total pour déterrer ce qu’il y a de plus vivant en nous. Au fond, c’est une pièce qui nous parle de notre besoin d’exister et qui réveille en nous l’élan qu’il nous faudrait avoir pour faire, être et accomplir nos rêves. Et arrêter de parler. » Seconde création de La Grappa, cette mise en scène prend le parti du dépouillement. Cinq chaises sur un plateau nu, un rond de lumière pour seul espace de jeu : Nicolas Grosrichard a élaboré une représentation faite de trous, de ruptures, de questionnements. Une représentation qui vise à placer les spectateurs dans un rapport d’intimité avec la pièce de Jean-Luc Lagarce.
