« On ne paie pas pour entrer dans un bistrot, on prend un verre et, si le spectacle nous a plu, le chapeau passe… » Le verbe est haut. La personnalité directe et enthousiaste. Casquette vissée sur la tête, Marcel Le Guilloux revient à Avignon pour fêter la millième représentation de son Johnny… perpète* : un spectacle sur les hauts et les bas de la vie. « Johnny… perpète est né de mon amour de la variété, confie-t-il, cette poésie de proximité qui habite le quotidien, qui scande les heures, parfois jusqu’à l’écœurement, mais qui, au fil du temps, se révèle être un redoutable calendrier… » Piochant dans les paroles des chansons de Johnny Hallyday, le comédien transforme le plus vieux bar d’Avignon en salle de spectacle. De table en table, de chaise en chaise, il circule, fait revivre les souvenirs et les états d’âmes d’un homme à la dérive. Un one-man-show ? Un monologue ? Tout simplement « du théâtre pour un seul homme », comme le dit Marcel Le Guilloux. Du théâtre qui veut s’offrir sans esbroufe. Et nous mener du rire à l’émotion.
