« Stéphane Jaubertie est un auteur inspiré, déclare Nino D’Introna. Dans Jojo au bord du monde, je retrouve son urgence d’écrire, de parler de l’âme de l’homme et des contradictions de l’humanité. Stéphane est l’un des rares auteurs capables d’une écriture intergénérationnelle, qui touche profondément les adultes comme les enfants. » Emblématique du projet artistique du TNG, cette écriture intergénérationnelle creuse ici les thématiques de la solitude, de l’abandon, de la vieillesse, de la peur d’aller vers la vie pour l’enfant, vers la mort pour le vieillard. Entre sens du loufoque et gravité, Stéphane Jaubertie souhaite interroger le merveilleux, la façon de le retranscrire au théâtre, de le donner à entendre aux publics de tous les âges. « Jojo, c’est une fable, une quête, un passage, explique-t-il. » Une fable sur un enfant seul, assis sur un bout de trottoir, juste au bord du monde.
