Dernier souffle d’un compositeur mort à 26 ans de la tuberculose, le Stabat Mater de Pergolèse s’est peu à peu imposé comme l’un des grands mythes de la musique classique, sans doute par sa teneur spirituelle unique, faite à la fois de tendresse et de pathos. Rousseau n’a-t-il pas affirmé que « le premier verset du Stabat était le plus parfait et le plus touchant qui soit sorti de la plume d’aucun musicien » ? Elle prend congé de ce rôle après l’avoir profondément marqué au disque, lui enfin s’y adonnera avec toute la grâce dont on le sait capable : chassé-croisé très attendu de la soprano Julia Lezhneva et du contre-ténor Franco Fagioli dans les deux voix jumelles de l’œuvre. On sait que les deux artistes rivaliseront de talent, accompagnés par l’Ensemble sur instruments d’époque Capella Gabetta (du nom de son directeur, frère de Sol Gabetta : Andres Gabetta). Gageons que l’aérien Concerto grosso n°10 de Platti et le très planant Nisi Dominus de Vivaldi, préludant au Stabat Mater, feront merveille dans l’acoustique précise du lieu…
