C’est une histoire qui dure entre Käfig et le Brésil, et que Mourad Merzouki a voulu re-questionner à travers cette nouvelle proposition ! Avec Agwa en 2008 et Correria en 2010, le chorégraphe a su montrer des facettes stimulantes de ces jeunes danseurs cariocas, tirant le fil des personnalités et de leurs histoires pour mieux les pousser dans l’énergie de son hip hop. Aujourd’hui, la démarche s’est déplacée, puisque les danseurs se sont confrontés à l’écriture d’autres chorégraphes, dans des petites formes qui constituent la pièce Käfig Brasil : Anthony Egéa joue avec eux la carte de la performance percussive et jubilatoire autour de la musique électro. Céline Lefèvre les plonge dans une expérience plus mentale, tandis qu’Octavio Nassur, chorégraphe brésilien de la compagnie Dance Heart, compose en référence à la capoeira et au hip hop. Avec Denis Plassard, ils traversent un imaginaire du quotidien pour mieux le détourner, avant de donner à voir leur propre travail collectif où les corps se confrontent à des cordes pour mieux trouver ce qui nous relie : la danse.
