« Je m’appelle Kristoffer, et j’ai huit ans », dit l’enfant. « Tout à l’heure je pensais à l’univers. L’univers, c’est quelque chose que je n’arrive pas à comprendre. Je n’arrive pas à comprendre comment il peut être infini, car tout a une fin, tout a un bord, à un endroit ou à un autre. Mais si l’univers a une fin, qu’est-ce qu’il y a après l’endroit où il finit ? ». Confrontant son monde d’enfant au vertige de questionnements métaphysiques, le jeune Kristoffer met des mots sur ses angoisses, sonde ses premières prises de conscience, tente de définir le champ des possibilités et des impossibilités du tout dont il fait partie. Et si un géant existait dans l’univers, se prend-il à penser, un géant tellement gros que personne ne pourrait le voir… Et si nous n’existions que dans les rêves de ce géant… Visitant à la fois l’hyperréalisme des manipulations marionnettiques et la fantasmagorie du théâtre d’ombres, Bérangère Vantusso élabore un spectacle tout public (à partir de 7 ans) d’une grande acuité. Un spectacle en forme d’invitation à la réflexion et à l’imagination.
Une mise en abyme scénique et textuelle
Car les judicieux paysages sonores et visuels auxquels donne naissance ce Kant – illustrant certains aspects du texte mais aussi les innombrables rêveries de Kristoffer – guident enfants et adultes sur les pas de leurs propres perspectives intérieures. Des perspectives pouvant, à l’occasion, se nourrir de la mise en abyme que l’utilisation de la marionnette fait apparaître. Servant magnifiquement le propos de Jon Fosse, trois manipulateurs prennent en charge les mouvements et la parole du pantin avec lequel ils semblent faire corps, lui insufflent comme par magie une apparence de vie. Par leur entremise, la question du réel et de l’illusion, le mystère lié à l’essence du vivant, s’affirment de façon frappante au cœur du plateau. Ainsi, interprètes de phrases qu’ils n’ont pas écrites, artisans de mouvements qui portent plus loin que leurs propres mains, Anne Dupagne, Guillaume Gilliet et Philippe Rodriguez-Jorda offrent un écho supérieurement poétique à la puissance d’écriture de l’auteur norvégien.
