Alors qu’une danseuse ondule sur le plateau, 81 ampoules suspendues au plafond clignotent à son passage, telles des spectres qui tentent d’entrer en communication avec les vivants, auxquels se mêlent des voix masculines. Cette danseuse n’est autre qu’Azusa Takeuchi, chorégraphe qui se plaît depuis 2010 à déployer une esthétique ultra-sensible teintée d’étrangeté. Dans Kara-Da-Kara, la Japonaise questionne la relation entre âme et corps, en s’inspirant de la pensée confucianiste, qui veut que le corps soit le récipient de l’âme. Dans ce dialogue poétique entre corps et lumière, elle questionne le statut du corps, enveloppe terrestre fragile. Évoluant dans un espace entre deux mondes à la temporalité floue, elle se laisse entourer puis traverser par des énergies et des fantômes.
