Née en France, Karine Pontiès est bel et bien la plus belge des chorégraphes : formée à l’école Mudra de Béjart à Bruxelles, elle est ensuite interprète pour Frédéric Flamand, Michèle Noiret ou Pierre Droulers. En 1996, c’est également à Bruxelles qu’elle présente sa première pièce, Planta Baja. Elle s’illustre depuis dans un univers très dansé mais qui la distingue du tout abstrait ou du beau geste. Sans pour autant raconter des histoires, elle donne à voir l’humanité dans toute sa complexité, s’arrêtant sur des formes solo où transpire l’intimité d’un personnage, ou sur des formes de groupes qui dévoilent d’étranges communautés. Cet été, elle présente deux pièces d’un cycle consacré à la figure de l’épouvantail.
Une nouvelle pièce à découvrir
Babil et Benedetto Pacifico sont en effet deux solos où le corps prend le prétexte de l’épouvantail pour mieux tordre son geste et l’exposer aux regards. Le premier est hésitant, peine à se mettre debout, tente d’exister à travers les mots, tandis que le second, bien planté, prend le parti de la lutte pour mieux faire exploser son énergie. A l’inverse, la nouvelle création Lamali Lokta embarque cinq personnages dans un univers plus léger, plus enfantin, celui de l’auteure et illustratrice Béatrice Alemagna. Du rêve, de la finesse, et surtout du jeu, voilà les maîtres mots de cette nouvelle fantaisie.
