Pour écrire À la ligne, feuillets d’usine, Joseph Ponthus s’immerge dans la réalité qu’il souhaite explorer : celle de l’usine. Vivant et travaillant en Bretagne, c’est là qu’il se fait embaucher dans des conserveries de poisson et des abattoirs. Autrement dit, c’est là qu’il « va à la ligne ». Co-fondatrice avec Rodolphe Dana du collectif Les Possédés, directeur du Théâtre de Lorient, Katja Hunsinger s’empare de ce monologue qui, sans ponctuation, dit la réalité ouvrière de sa région. Dans le rôle du travailleur à la chaîne, elle met en scène Julien Chavrial, lui aussi attaché à ce territoire en tant que membre du collectif du Théâtre de Lorient. Sans décor hormis quelques néons et un looper que le comédien manipule lui-même, ce spectacle a vocation à se jouer partout. Pour, partout, donner à entendre l’Odyssée intérieure de l’ouvrier qui, « tel Ulysse combat des carcasses de bœuf et des tonnes de chimères ».
