Dans son précédent spectacle, « le Tour du Monde en 80 voix », Khalid K nous avait rendu son univers familier, un univers de boucles audio, de matière musicale et sonore enregistrée et samplée en direct. Passé maître de ce procédé riche en possibilités, il rajoute pour ce « Khalid o sKope » la composante vidéo, basée sur un même principe de sampling en live. Mettre un tel spectacle en place relève du puzzle entre arts et techniques : « Le spectacle est au premier abord un concert, avec un interprète et un opérateur, Charles Sadoul. En jouant sur la dualité de nos rôles et la présence de Charles sur scène, le public intègre rapidement les techniques audiovisuelles comme éléments de la narration. Le personnage central est dans un espace sous surveillance, et en prend peu à peu conscience jusqu’à réussir à en jouer. L’idée est de mettre en scène l’esclavage face à l’image. Sur scène, le corps humain et les technologies jouent en accord l’un avec les autres ». Une plongée dans un petit monde ludique et romanesque, pétri d’imagination sensible et d’humour.
