Théâtre Artephile / Rémi Checchetto / Alexia Vidal
Au départ de cette aventure, il y a un texte de Rémi Checchetto publié aux Éditions Espaces 34. C’est le monologue imaginaire de Mohammed Ali en plein combat. Il s’agit de boxe bien sûr, mais on y parle aussi de violence, de racisme, de rapport à la mort et de cette société américaine ivre d’argent et de consommation. « Une logorrhée rythmique, poétique et politique ». Au départ, il y a également la volonté d’Alexia Vidal, la metteure en scène fondatrice de la compagnie Corps de passage, de développer ce qu’elle nomme un « théâtre mouvementé », où le corps porte la parole autant que l’esprit, un peu dans la lignée de la danse-théâtre.
Cogne et danse
Sur scène, il y aura donc Adeline Walter, mince comédienne blonde, dans la vie adepte de boxe, pour porter une parole dont la portée dépasse la seule personne de Mohammed Ali. « Boxe, boxe » chantait Nougaro. La comédienne tape et parle, cogne et danse pendant plus d’une heure et demie dans « la lourdeur du corps et la violence des coups qui impriment leurs rythmes aux mouvements et au texte ». Avec l’accompagnement d’un léger dispositif vidéo.
