Théâtre des Halles / d’après William Shakespeare / mes Caroline Fay
Huit planches dressées en palissade, un paravent, un piano électrique, une malle en osier recouverte de cuir : c’est au sein d’un cadre scénographique des plus dépouillés que Frédéric Fialon et Jérôme Kocaoglu s’emparent des cinq actes et de la vingtaine de protagonistes du Roi Lear. Sous la direction de Caroline Fay, les deux comédiens s’attachent à composer un spectacle ludique et populaire, un spectacle « qui s’adresse autant aux novices qu’aux aficionados de William Shakespeare ». A travers un procédé de mise en abyme humoristique, les deux partenaires de jeu incarnent les personnages, interviennent dans l’histoire, commentent le texte original, jouent de la musique… « Cette distanciation donne une lecture plus claire de l’œuvre », expliquent les membres du collectif Mains d’Œuvre. Une lecture qui s’appuie sur de fréquentes ruptures comiques, sans pour cela jamais chercher à gommer les accents tragiques et émotionnels de la pièce de Shakespeare.
