Après l’univers du photographe Pierre Molinier en 2004 (Mes jambes si vous saviez, quelle fumée…), après la figure du poète Joë Bousquet en 2006 (Je porte malheur aux femmes mais je ne porte pas bonheur aux chiens), Bruno Geslin poursuit son compagnonnage avec le Théâtre de la bastille et le Festival d’Automne en explorant le monde du « strip-tease burlesque » dans l’Amérique de la fin des années 1960. Un monde sur le déclin puisque cette forme de spectacles aux aspirations artistiques voire poétiques sera balayée, dès le début des années 1970, par l’industrie de la pornographie cinématographique et l’avènement du peep-show. C’est donc à la lisière de deux époques que Kiss me quick se situe, investissant le destin de trois strip-teaseuses de générations différentes (formidablement interprétées par Evelyne Didi, Lila Redouane et Delphine Rudasigwa), trois femmes qui dévoilent leurs formes comme leurs âmes à l’occasion de numéros de cabaret et de témoignages intimes. « Je souhaitais que l’on entende ces héroïnes du quotidien, en lutte pour vivre, survivre, construire leur vie malgré tout, avec sincérité et courage », confieBruno Geslin. A travers une représentation d’une grande qualité esthétique, le metteur en scène porte un regard plein de tendresse sur ces trois chemins de vie chaotiques.
Un regard en clair obscur sur trois destins de femmes
Un regard délicat, poétique, qui crée des atmosphères visuelles et sonores de toute beauté (le chanteur et musicien Matthieu Desbordes interprète, sur scène, la partie musicale du spectacle). Jouant abondement d’effets d’obscurités et de transparences, Kiss me quick ne cherche jamais à exploiter une quelconque forme d’exhibitionnisme ou de misérabilisme. Au contraire, un charme presque énigmatique, une distance humoristique sous-jacente, une impression de langueur impalpable enveloppent l’ensemble de la représentation. Et, si le spectacle de Bruno Geslin expose finalement très peu de choses sur le contexte historique qu’il est censé éclairer, si les dimensions sociales et politiques laissent leur place aux confessions plus personnelles des trois strip-teaseuses, Kiss me quick n’en reste pas moins l’occasion de profondes perspectives sur la pudeur, la marchandisation du corps, la respectabilité, la violence et les incertitudes de l’existence. Des perspectives soutenues par une distribution exemplaire à la tête de laquelle Evelyne Didi se révèle souveraine.
