Théâtre du Chêne Noir / Cirque / Conception Compagnie Casus
Pour ceux qui pensent que la compagnie Circa représente le meilleur du cirque australien, voici une œuvre à découvrir : la compagnie Casus s’est imposée, avec Knee Deep, comme un bel outsider, surfant sur la vague du cirque physique et un peu « show » pour mieux l’emmener vers l’épure et la poésie. Trois des interprètes fondateurs en sont d’ailleurs issus, tandis que le quatrième comparse s’avère être un O.V.N.I. débarqué des îles Samoa, rompu au chant et à la danse, et venu au cirque aérien sur le tard. Dans cette pièce, c’est sur le mode du collectif qu’ils ont uni leurs forces.
D’autres voies pour la gravité
Le spectacle révèle en effet un quatuor dont le mode de relation fait toute la teneur du spectacle. Unis comme les mousquetaires, dans la prise de risque comme dans les instants de force ou de fragilité, les circassiens entament un dialogue de corps dont les portés et les acrobaties forment le vocabulaire. L’équilibre, sous toutes ses formes, est mis au défi par leurs prouesses, toujours à l’extrême limite des capacités physiques de chacun et pour lesquelles le spectateur retient son souffle. Tout est bon pour multiplier les challenges, dans des séquences surprenantes où les œufs, les cerceaux ou les claquettes sont à rude épreuve…
