Il fallait bien que ces deux Genevois se rencontrent ! Ce fut fait en 2016, alors que Christian Lutz présentait son exposition Insert Coins à Vevey, en Suisse, que Cindy Van Acker investissait alors de sa danse. Une occasion unique ? Les deux complices réitèrent l’expérience à l’aune de la venue de l’exposition à la Collection Lambert cet été. Un changement de paradigme pour la danseuse, qui passe de l’atmosphère froide, bétonnée et « underground » de la première tentative, à l’écrin que constitue cet ancien hôtel particulier du XVIIIe siècle.

Si la question de l’espace est essentielle pour la danseuse, qui le décompose, en analyse la lumière, les rythmes, celle des images reste prégnante. Comment imaginer sa présence fugace face à la permanence des photos qui fixent un moment d’éternité ? Cindy Van Acker s’appuie sur les photographies de Christian Lutz, une série prise à Las Vegas. Eblouissants de couleurs et de lumières, les clichés disent pourtant toutes les désillusions d’un monde qui se brûle les ailes. Les personnages qui y figurent sont autant de postures promptes à dialoguer avec le mouvement, que la danseuse habite de sa puissance de vie.
