PONTOISE/BAGNEUX/MONTREUIL / JAZZ – MALI
La musique ouvre on le sait, d’un style à un autre, d’un continent à un autre, d’une époque à une autre, un champ quasi infini de dialogues possibles. Ce projet le prouve une fois de plus, et réunit la pianiste et compositrice de jazz contemporain Eve Risser et Naïny Diabaté, griotte malienne et chanteuse. La musicienne française, dont le White Desert Orchestra a fait forte impression sur maintes scènes européennes depuis sa création en 2015, convoque ici son Red Desert Orchestra, formation de neuf musiciens où les soufflants ont la part belle (Antonin-Tri Hoang, Sakina Abdou et Grégoire Tirtiaux aux saxophones, Nils Ostendorf à la trompette, Matthias Müller au trombone), pour tisser des liens avec le Kaladjula Band, le groupe 100 % féminin de Naïny Diabaté (fondé en 2013), où ce sont les instruments africains (djembé, dundun, kora, calebasse, kamele ngoni, etc.) et les voix qui jouent les premiers rôles. Un chœur de cent chanteurs amateurs sera aussi de la fête.
