Maison de la culture du Japon à Paris / Avec Yajûrô Bandô et Shingo Bandô
Forme de théâtre traditionnel japonais ayant vu le jour au début du XVIIème siècle, le kabuki est aujourd’hui, après avoir été un moment joué par des artistes féminines, exclusivement interprété par des hommes. Ainsi, dans La barrière d’Osaka sous la neige des amours, pièce dansée dont la tournée européenne s’arrête trois jours à la Maison de la culture du Japon à Paris, l’acteur Yajûrô Bandô endosse le rôle d’un homme buvant du saké sous des cerisiers alors que son fils, Shingo Bandô, incarne celui d’une femme mystérieuse. L’histoire d’amour et de rivalité que vont vivre les deux personnages se déroule au IXème siècle. A Osaka. Un cerisier s’est mis à fleurir alors que la saison est encore à la neige… Musique, costumes, maquillages, scénographie, jeu : les pièces de kabuki répondent à des codes précis. Lors d’une introduction à la représentation, Yajûrô Bandô reviendra sur ces codes et fournira quelques clefs de compréhension pour que chacun puisse saisir toutes les subtilités de cet art inscrit, depuis 2005, sur la liste du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’humanité de l’Unesco.
