C’est une démarche ambitieuse : deux théâtres, le Théâtre Louis-Aragon de Tremblay-en-France et le Forum de Blanc-Mesnil, s’installent dans le Off et présentent, deux semaines durant, le travail des équipes artistiques qu’ils accueillent en résidence. Le programme danse comprend trois pièces, qui, toutes, doivent retenir l’attention. Il y aura d’abord la nouvelle pièce de Daniel Dobbels : sur l’Etude n°1 de Dusapin, le chorégraphe crée A la gauche de l’espace. Il la décrit comme « une volte lente, se dégageant d’un poids immense et dérivant inexorablement vers la gauche, comme si cette danse devait rompre avec toute droite, toute figure imposée, toute symétrie profonde. »
Danses ultimes
A la gauche de l’espace sera suivie d’une pièce d’Alban Richard (du 8 au 13 juillet) et de Philippe Ménard (du 15 au 24). Alban Richard reprendra Lointain (2007) pour une version en plein air. On attend avec impatience de retrouver, dans un nouveau cadre, ce duo évoquant l’histoire de Tristan et Iseult et pour lequel le chorégraphe a relevé le défi de se confronter à l’opéra de Wagner. Sur cette musique extrêmement chargée d’affects, il parvient à développer une danse intense – sans contact, mais toujours au bord du frôlement. Philippe Ménard, quant à lui, présentera I wanna dance all night. Mais « danser toute la nuit », comme l’annonce ce titre, c’est aussi réinventer sa façon de danser, retrouver son corps, se réapproprier sans fin les gestes pour ne pas échouer dans l’immobilité. Un désir de danse ultime, un refus de s’arrêter : danser devient ici une façon de résister.
