La Chartreuse de Villeneuve lez Avignon / Conception Julie Gilbert
C’est bien avant le premier confinement de 2020 que Julie Gilbert commence à faire du téléphone l’un de ses outils d’écriture privilégiés. D’hier ou d’aujourd’hui, cet appareil est depuis une dizaine d’années au cœur de plusieurs performances et installations de l’auteure et scénariste suisse. La plupart abordent la question de la pensée au féminin, et interrogent la manière dont celle-ci « habite notre imaginaire, structure notre réflexion ou simplement nous donne des impulsions pour créer ». La bibliothèque sonore des écrivaines vient compléter cette belle collection. Composée d’anciens téléphones, cette installation programmée à la Chartreuse de Villeneuve-lès-Avignon dans le cadre de la Sélection suisse en Avignon convoque au bout du fil des femmes auteures et engagées. Écrits par Julie Gilbert et par d’autres écrivaines contemporaines, les monologues offerts à nos oreilles nous placent au plus près des pensées d’Olympe de Gouges, de la Comtesse de Ségur, de Virginia Woolf et de bien d’autres femmes illustres. Ils nous invitent à les remettre au présent, à les réactiver.
