A partir d’un petit courant de rien du tout, La Bobine de Ruhmkorff, du nom de l’ingénieur allemand Heinrich Ruhmkorff (1803-1877), parvient à créer une décharge de 60000 volts entre « deux systèmes désirants, isolés, dénudés, qui se font face ». « Cette bobine me transporte et me fait rêver », dit Pierre Meunier. Des lois de la science aux lois de l’amour, étonnantes et capricieuses, de la physique des matériaux à celle des corps, Pierre Meunier opère de multiples glissements et collisions, de savoureuses analogies et de troublantes analyses. Acteur, auteur et bricoleur de mots et d’objets facétieux, il cultive une relation de haute intensité avec les spectateurs et nous convie « à une réflexion philosophico-scientifique sur le sexe, la redécouverte de la splendeur du monde et de l’énigme qui le constitue. » Le besoin de l’autre se traduit de toutes sortes de manières inventives et insolites.
