Le texte de cette vaste entreprise qu’est La Chance de ma vie est de Valérie Grail, Denis Guénoun, Fabrice Melquiot, François Monnié, Jean-Gabriel Nordmann, Rémi de Vos… Un auteur metteur en scène propose à des inconnus de passer une audition pour un projet de théâtre à inventer : La Chance de ma vie. Les candidats qui défilent sous le regard du public et du metteur en scène doivent justifier de leur vie actuelle, de leurs motivations, de leurs désirs. Un véritable événement pour les prétendants au spectacle, qui ne savent pas que l’artiste veut en fait représenter leur vérité, que leurs histoires et leurs identités constitueront la matière même de l’oeuvre. Le metteur en scène révèle ainsi, selon Valérie Grail, « la poésie singulière qui émane d’eux à leur insu. » Avec des hésitations souvent et, parfois, le miracle d’un authentique moment de théâtre. Une audition à ne pas manquer, évidemment.
