Une idée pertinente, donner à voir au public anonyme les affres de ces séances brutes d’audition, tant courues par les élèves des cours et écoles de théâtre en vrac, tendus par le seul but de réussir, celui d’être choisi et repéré, d’obtenir un rôle dans un spectacle à venir encore inconnu, mais peu importe. Une candidate est lycéenne, littéraire, sensible et pleine de charme, elle n’ose pas expressément, mais elle voudrait bien, elle aussi, déclamer sur les planches les grands auteurs dont elle apprécie l’écriture. Une autre jeune fille ne semble pas être passée par les fourches caudines de l’enseignement des lettres, mais elle aimerait qu’on la repère sans qu’on ne lui inflige ni questions ni examens probatoires ; la colère et l’insulte amères à la bouche, elle exprime la révolte de l’adolescence incomprise par une société hypocrite. Une femme encore, la quarantaine, quatre enfants à la maison, n’a pas poursuivi sa carrière lyrique ; elle chante merveilleusement malgré ses maladresses de déplacement et l’incertitude de ses gestes. Une autre aussi, sûre de son accomplissement intérieur, danse ingénument sur une scène admirative.
Un monde d’intuitions et de rencontres qui se font à l’instant ou jamais
Une dernière (Catherine Schaub-Abkarian) confie au public un amour irréductible du théâtre comme un sentiment douloureux de solitude. Un comédien – et lequel, Georges Bigot avec panache et bagou – « débarque » un peu trop familièrement en ami et collaborateur professionnel, il discute avec le metteur en scène plutôt calme et compréhensif. Non loin, un homme (Jean-Gabriel Nordmann), « Je suis dans les affaires, aucun don, aucun talent », qui se prétend le compagnon de la mère du metteur en scène et lui avoue la passion de celle-ci pour les planches. Qu’est-ce que le théâtre ? Une expression qui meuble le silence, authentiquement élégante quand on accorde à l’absence de faux bruits toute son intensité voulue. Les acteurs utilisent les mêmes mots, mais tous n’y mettent pas le même cœur. Là est la différence que dénonce cet art difficile où l’on reconnaît plutôt facilement les faiseurs. Un monde d’intuitions et de rencontres qui se font à l’instant ou jamais, avec les textes de Valérie Grail, Fabrice Melquiot, François Monnié, Jean Gabriel Nordmann et Rémi de Vos, et de vrais bons comédiens dont nous terminons la liste, Hélène Bizieau, Vincent Lefèvre, Stefano Genovese, Catherine Le Hénan, Julie Ménard, Audrey Meulle, Caroline Panzera et Rainer Sievert.
