NOUVELLE PRODUCTION / OPERA COMIQUE
Ce n’est pas la première fois que Marc Minkowski s’attaque à La Chauve souris de Johann Strauss. Au Festival de Salzbourg, à l’époque dirigé par Gérard Mortier, le chef des Musiciens du Louvre était dans la fosse pour la production d’Hans Neuenfels. Une mise en scène sulfureuse, faisant de cet opérette le miroir de la décadence de la société autrichienne (cocaïne incluse), qui avait alors engendré une belle bronca. La nouvelle production de l’Opéra Comique a été confiée à Ivan Alexandre, également connu comme musicologue (spécialiste de Haendel) et chroniqueur au magazine Diapason. A Toulouse et au Palais Garnier, Ivan Alexandre nous avait offert une mise en scène “historique“, dans la veine d’un Benjamin Lazar, d’Hippolyte et Aricie de Rameau. Mais cette fois-ci, le metteur en scène va davantage jouer sur l’actualité du livret, écho revisité de Eyes wide shut ou l’affaire DSK ! Chantée en français, cette production convoque des voix de premier plan, du charismatique Stéphane Degout à la virtuose Sabine Devieilhe. Dans la fosse, on retrouve bien évidemment les fidèles Musiciens du Louvre.
