C’est en allant dans des écoles des Ulis, de Nanterre et de Laurac en Vivarais que Michelle Brûlé et Dominique Paquet ont recueilli des paroles d’enfants de classes allant du CE1 au CM2. Cela au sujet de questions à la fois intimes et quotidiennes : qu’est-ce qui fait peur, qu’est-ce qui chagrine, qu’est-ce qui console ? Conjuguant ces témoignages à des mises en perspective philosophiques, La Consolation de Sophie (spectacle interprété par Jessica Monceau et Dominique Paquet) présente une succession de sept nuits. Sept nuits au cours desquelles Sophie la philosophe, personnage venu du fond des âges, tente de consoler Trita. Mais avant de retrouver sa joie de vivre, « l’enfant va parcourir le chemin des fausses consolations, des conflits et des doutes, des exercices de rires, jusqu’à devenir elle-même une consolatrice »…
