Théâtre Le Pixel / d’après Lee Hall / mes Jérôme Tomray
Dad, ancien expert géomètre, fou d’Elvis Presley auquel chaque soir il emprunte le mythique costume de scène, est victime d’un accident de voiture qui le laisse en petite voiture pour le restant de ses jours. Mam, dont le dévouement trouve ses limites dans l’expression libre de sa libido, impose dès lors son amant à demeure. Stuart, l’amant en question, beaucoup plus jeune que sa maîtresse, superviseur de gâteaux pour une grande marque britannique, a pour autre caractéristique de ne pas connaître de limites à son dévouement. Et Jill, la fille, jeune adolescente, soigne son anorexie de façon boulimique. La mise en scène porte ce cocktail névrotique à son comble en évitant les nombreux écueils dans lesquels il serait facile de sombrer. Scabreuse, cocasse, caustique, crue et cruelle, elle vise à s’appuyer sur les qualités de ce grand texte dramatique qu’est La cuisine d’Elvis pour permettre d’en goûter toutes les savoureuses nuances. Les quatre comédiens Jerôme Tomray, Fanny Martella, Arthur Lang et Johanna Mondon s’attachent à trouver le juste équilibre entre le comique hilarant et le pathologique tragique.
