La Dame aux jambes d’azur
Studio-Théâtre de la Comédie-Française / d’Eugène Labiche / mes Jean-Pierre Vincent
Après Ubu Roi en 2009 et Dom Juan en 2012, Jean-Pierre Vincent signe sa dixième mise en scène à la Comédie-Française avec La Dame aux jambes d’azur. Il dirige, pour l’occasion, Gérard Giroudon, Claude Mathieu, Jérôme Pouly, Julie Sicard, Pierre Louis-Calixte, Gilles David, Benjamin Lavernhe et Noam Morgensztern dans une caricature du monde théâtral prenant des allures de cauchemar. Comme souvent chez Labiche, la vie s’emballe et nous transporte aux confins de l’absurde. Un souffleur doit être remplacé par un machiniste analphabète, l’interprète d’une princesse mange une saucisse en achevant son tricot, l’un des comédiens cherche un appartement dans tout Paris… Créée en 1857, un mois après L’Affaire de la rue de Lourcine, cette mise en abyme révèle « une charge radicale et hilarante contre la prétention et la médiocrité ». Une charge dans laquelle Jean-Pierre Vincent voit comme un avant-goût des grands burlesques américains de la première moitié du XXème siècle.
