Comédie-Française / de Marivaux / mes Anne Kessler
Dans La Double Inconstance, pièce écrite par Marivaux en 1723, un Prince aime une jeune paysanne, qui est amoureuse d’un garçon de son village. Avec l’aide d’une confidente qui tombe elle-même sous le charme de ce villageois, le Prince va tout faire pour séduire celle qu’il souhaite épouser… « Je préfère la sensation de la reconstitution à celle de la représentation, déclare Anne Kessler. C’est la raison pour laquelle je suis partie de l’idée d’une répétition qui se transforme en spectacle. Ma mise en scène renvoie à une image de XVIIIème siècle décalé, pas du tout réaliste : un XVIIIème siècle d’aujourd’hui. Il me semblait, en effet, très important de faire résonner La Double Inconstance dans notre présent. » Pour tisser ce lien entre le monde du XVIIIème siècle et notre époque, Anne Kessler s’est appuyée sur la matière humaine, organique, de ses interprètes. Une matière sur laquelle elle a toujours aimé réfléchir : aussi bien d’un point de vue de comédienne que de metteure en scène.
