En 1973, les Pink Floyd publient ce qui deviendra l’un des disques les plus vendus de l’histoire de la musique. Mais bien plus qu’un simple bestseller, Dark Side of The Moon marque un tournant dans l’histoire du rock : les quatre Anglais y expérimentent des synthétiseurs et des techniques d’enregistrement inédits. Près de quarante ans après sa sortie, cet objet sonore non identifié reste un obscur objet de désir pour des générations de musiciens, du rock à l’électro, de Radiohead à MGMT. Une telle œuvre ne pouvait que fasciner Thierry Balasse. Complice de Pierre Henry comme de Michel Portal, cet alchimiste du son et spécialiste de la composition électroacoustique s’est lancé un défi alléchant : rejouer sur scène ce chef-d’œuvre sonique. Accompagné pour l’occasion de la voix de Magma, Klaus Blasquiz, et de sept musiciens au carrefour des genres, Thierry Balasse rendra réel un fantasme que peu d’auditeurs ont vécu : expérimenter la musique de Dark Side of The Moon en chair et en notes.
