Ferme de Bel Ebat, Scène Watteau, Théâtre de Sartrouville et Espace Culturel Boris Vian / d’après le conte japonais La Femme grue / texte et mes Alain Batis
Le vieux Yohei se souvient : traversant à nouveau sa vie d’avant, il retrouve les figures de son village et l’histoire extraordinaire de sa rencontre et de son union avec la mystérieuse femme oiseau. Un jour, au début de l’hiver, il recueille une grue et soigne son aile blessée par une flèche. Tard dans la nuit, frappe à sa porte une belle et mystérieuse jeune fille, capable de tisser des étoffes extraordinairement soyeuses à condition qu’on ne l’observe pas. Mais la curiosité de Yohei est trop forte : en volant son secret à la belle, il la voit s’envoler à jamais dans les airs. Hymne à la beauté, au dépouillement et à la capacité de résister à la soif du pouvoir et de l’argent, ce conte initiatique convient particulièrement aux enfants, dit Alain Batis, qui l’adapte et le met en scène, car, « ni édulcoré, ni moralisateur, il transcende notre regard sur la vie et aide à grandir ».
