Théâtre de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines / d’après Clarice Lispector / mes Bruno Bayen
Fille d’exilés juifs ukrainiens installés au Brésil, femme d’un diplomate qu’elle suivit de poste en poste avant de revenir s’installer à Rio en 1959, Lispector est une cosmopolite qui a fait du langage son territoire d’élection. Elle parle d’autant mieux du monde qu’elle semble l’habiter en touriste de la phénoménologie, riche d’un regard fait de distance, de lucidité et d’étonnement ironique, éminemment apte à saisir la beauté du déploiement des choses. L’effet hypnotique des mots de Lispector, dont la profondeur ne se laisse entrevoir qu’à force de fréquenter leur apparente simplicité et leur déroutante évidence, est confié par Bruno Bayen à Emmanuelle Lafon. Abandon au dangereux plaisir d’exister, lenteur paradoxale de la fulgurance, refus du lyrisme et des lieux communs, modestie teintée d’humour et gravité extasiée devant les microscopiques miracles de l’existence : Lispector est un écrivain raffiné et une compagne fidèle et durable pour qui connaît l’âpreté du métier de vivre. Bruno Bayen a composé la partition de sa comédienne à partir d’extraits de La Découverte du monde, et honore ce montage de chroniques d’un nouveau titre : La Femme qui tua les poissons, du nom d’un conte pour enfants dans lequel Clarice Lispector confesse avoir un jour oublié de nourrir les poissons de son fils parti en vacances.
