« On croque, on cric, on brase, on braise. » Cette langue s’écoute et ne se lit pas, et fort heureusement elle prend vie sur une scène de théâtre, sous un ciel sans doute gris perle, dans un désert totalement surréaliste, où le sable devient de la poudre d’os de seiche, où une foule de créatures étranges, de plantes incongrues, d’animaux exquis, de plats uniques au monde, de bruits bizarres et d’objets complètement loufoques se font connaître. Incroyable ! Un ovni littéraire signé par l’inventeur et observateur Patrick Robine, auteur et interprète de cette folle équipée, roi des métamorphoses les plus exceptionnelles, corps et voix en pleine fantaisie et poésie. Guidé par le père, la famille embarque pour un voyage vers un ailleurs au goût de paradis, vers un Graal incertain, en plein désert, « sur une ancienne scierie de pain de sucre ».
Extravagance millimétrée
Un rêve, un dérèglement bien réglé, une ivresse à l’extravagance calibrée et millimétrée, une quête familiale croisant une cucurbitologue, un ferronnier du désert, Erich von Stroheim… un teckel qui pond des œufs de ferme et bien sûr l’hippocampe terrestre de l’Atlas. Né dans Les Landes, Patrick Robine a beaucoup bourlingué et s’est attelé à divers métiers : plongeur dans un cabaret restaurant au Canada, assistant maître d’hôtel aux Bahamas, parfumeur, et depuis qu’il est revenu dans ses Landes natales, comédien et auteur. La Ferme des concombres est sa troisième pièce, après La Danse du séquoïa et Le Naturaliste. Le spectacle a été couronné du Grand Prix de l’humour noir 2009. Et le metteur en scène Jean-Michel Ribes salue ce « cousin de l’asperge verte des Charentes et de Stéphane Mallarmé ». Un voyage à coup sûr dépaysant et étonnant.
