Pierre Etaix lui a un jour déclaré : « Personne ne fait l’éléphant comme toi ». C’était lors d’une croisière sur le Norway, croisière que Patrick Robine animait déjà de ses imitations insolites. Depuis, l’auteur-comédien a écrit plusieurs spectacles, transportant son public vers de vastes excursions poético-humoristiques. Aujourd’hui, par le biais de son nouveau spectacle, il se penche vers l’univers de son enfance. « [La Ferme des concombres] s’inspire un peu de mon père, explique Patrick Robine. Il nous embarque avec toute la famille, et des voisins de quartier, à travers le désert, à la recherche de cette ferme qui est une sorte de paradis sur terre… le Graal. »Une quête familiale qui sera l’occasion de parcourir les contrées imaginaires de l’humoriste, de rencontrer les figures fantasques et improbables sorties de son esprit : une cucurbitologue, un serrurier-chamane, un paysagiste perdu…
